MHS, IWU grad Willmert joins Health Careers staff

News Blog Category - News Marion Regional Career Center would like to welcome Julie Willmert, an MHS alumna, to our staff!

Willmert, a registered nurse, is joining us as preceptor for our health careers program, an important role engaged with our students and community businesses and agencies where our students are doing clinical rotations. 

She will also serve as a liaison for the Grow Nurses program, a partnership between Indiana Wesleyan University, Ivy Tech, and MRCC that aims to help recruit and train the next generation of nurses.

Willmert will also be the athletic trainer for the Giants athletics department. (Click here to learn more about her role with the Giants.)

"Julie is coming home to her Giant roots and will be a wonderful asset to our MCS family," MHS Principal Keith Burke said. "She will bring professionalism and knowledge to our athletic programs and Career Center. We are excited for Julie to join us."

Willmert has a bachelor's degree in nursing and in athletic training from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has served as nurse manager at Life Center Medical Clinic in Wabash for several years, along with serving as the athletic trainer for Mississinewa High School.
